Meet Dr. Bailey

Dr. Melissa Bailey finds great joy in creating a unique “signature smile” for each patient she meets. She regards her profession as an orthodontist as both an honor and a privilege, and is thankful for the trust her patients place in her knowledge. Knowing first-hand how orthodontic treatment can alter a life, Dr. Bailey decided to specialize in orthodontics when she got braces for the first time during dental school. Her own treatment taught her that having a beautiful smile can improve confidence and open doors to new opportunities throughout life.

Whether trading stories, sharing a laugh, or just having fun, Dr. Bailey enjoys the relationships she builds with her patients. Watching their personalities develop and seeing their beautiful smiles emerge are her true rewards and make her excited to come to work each day.

Education

Growing up, Dr. Bailey was an avid piano player and began teaching piano at the age of 13. She attended the University of California Los Angeles for her undergraduate degree, majoring in music (piano performance), and taught piano for 10 years. Dr. Bailey decided to enter dental school at UCLA’s School of Dentistry, graduating with honors and being inducted into the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. She received her specialty training in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics from Loma Linda University.  Dr. Bailey attends numerous continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical orthodontic techniques and innovations.
